Praia da Tocha is a small village from Cantanhede Council between Mira and Figueira da Foz beaches. In Tocha you will find a mix of tradicions and inovations, witch our tradicional wood houses are our brand image surrounded by the most beatifull nature. The preservation and conservation of our tradicional way of fishing, called “Arte Xávega” is also a good motive to visit us.
Praia da Tocha has the important award that distinguisses its waters for its quality since 2007, witch proves to be an excelent place to visit. The beach offers excelent conditions for sun baithing and good walks in our forest, read a book in our beach library, our tourism office is also a good place to visit. Praia da Tocha deserves a visit.

Praia do Palheirão is located a few kilometers north of Praia da Tocha and reserves moments of great interaction with nature by being a beach surrounded of great environmental beauty, ideal for moments of leisure and rest.

The Center of Arte Xavega Interpretation was inaugurated in 30th of December 2016 and is just for his self a excelent motivation for a visit.
This art is the motive for the beach creation and the Center will help to study and show the traditions and its history in its historical, sociocultural and ethnographic dimensions of an activity that continues active to this day.
With a set of constant photography and video exhibits, the Interpretation Center is also the tourist information center of Praia da Tocha. Deserves a visit.
